Takrem Ferdous Surid is a Programme Analyst at the South Asian Network on Economic Modeling (SANEM). Before this role, he served as a Research Associate at UNDP Bangladesh, where he worked on policy research, stakeholder engagement, and capacity-building initiatives. Previously, he also worked at SANEM as a Research Associate and Research Assistant, contributing to studies on trade, investment, energy transition, and macroeconomic issues. He completed his Masters in Economics from Jahangirnagar University.

Md. Rifat Bin Aowlad is a Senior Communication Associate at SANEM, working across strategic communications, knowledge management and stakeholder engagement. With a background in economics and several years of experience in development and policy organisations, he specialises in translating research and policy analysis into accessible communication, knowledge and advocacy products, and public engagement.

Prior to joining SANEM, Rifat worked at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD). His work included coordinating national dialogues and consultations, managing stakeholder engagement, producing multimedia and digital content, and developing policy and advocacy materials. He also contributed to the Government-commissioned “White Paper on the State of Bangladesh Economy” and research initiatives on primary education, TVET, youth employment and inclusive development.

He holds an MSc and BSc in Economics from Jahangirnagar University. His professional expertise spans strategic communications, policy communication, programme management, knowledge management, stakeholder engagement, digital media and multimedia production.

Omar Faruk is a Multimedia Producer at SANEM with over six years of experience across visual storytelling, media production, and creative strategy. Bringing a versatile background spanning agency video production, motion design, documentations, and UI/UX, he leads SANEM’s multimedia initiatives to make complex research and policy insights visually compelling. Prior to joining SANEM, he served as Manager of Media & Communication at Engineering Resources International (ERI) and held production and cinematography roles at Dope Productions Ltd and 10 Minute School. Omar holds a B.Pharm from International Islamic University Chittagong and is an active documentary photographer and visual designer.
