Launch of SANEM’s First Ever Monthly Newsletter | SANEM ROUNDUP

Volume 1, Issue 1 | September 2025

We launched SANEM Roundup, our first-ever monthly newsletter, with the September 2025 issue. The Roundup will serve as a regular window into SANEM’s work, featuring updates on events, research, and initiatives.

In this inaugural edition, we spotlighted the flagship publication, Thinking Aloud, alongside the launch of the Youthonomics campaign. Additionally, this edition highlighted an expert group meeting with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) on emerging trade issues, SANEM’s first expert talk on the political economy of reforms, participation in national and international conferences, training sessions, and workshops.

The newsletter also presented SANEM Insights, with recent opinion pieces by the researchers on economic reforms, trade, sustainability, and development challenges. Alongside this, it highlighted key knowledge products, including policy briefs on energy, transport, agriculture, and climate change in the lead-up to COP30. Additionally, under the SANEM Explains segment, we showcased the work of our researchers through a short video.

Finally, the issue announced new collaborations, such as an MoU with Southeast University, the selection of Bangladesh’s team for SAESM 2025, and the Call for Papers for the 9th SANEM Annual Economists’ Conference.
