Project description: The main objectives of the project are (i) to estimate the impact of fossil fuel dependency on welfare and macroeconomy, focusing on how fluctuations in both domestic and international fossil fuel energy prices can affect household welfare as well as macroeconomic variables, (ii) to analyze the cost-benefit of the reduction of the existing VAT/Tax/Duties on RE equipment (such as panel, inverters, cables etc.) potential for RE acceleration aiming to significantly reduce the existing gas/LNG dependent power generation, and (iii) to assess the rules and regulations necessary to improve energy efficiency in the industrial sector, incorporating business group [such DCCI] to take their stakes for the sector and identifying key areas for improvement to foster sustainable growth.
