4 December 2024 | 10:00AM-01:00PM | The Westin Dhaka
South Asian Network on Economic Modeling (SANEM), in collaboration with ActionAid Bangladesh has conducted a study on Youth Empowerment. To share the findings of the study, SANEM and ActionAid Bangladesh are hosting a roundtable discussion titled “Navigating the Future: Youth Empowerment to Develop Just, Resilient, and Sustainable Bangladesh” on 4 December 2024 at 10:00 AM.
The objectives of this study are to identify the socio-economic, political, and environmental barriers that affect youth access to education, employment, and essential services. It aims to assess the specific impacts of climate change on youth, including disruptions in education, health risks, and challenges to livelihoods, particularly in vulnerable areas. Additionally, the study analyzes the effects of political dynamics on youth opportunities, focusing on access to employment and quality education. The importance of STEM and digital literacy in meeting the demands of the transforming job market, building resilience, and promoting sustainability is also highlighted. Finally, the study seeks to use youth engagement to gather actionable insights that will shape policies addressing employment gaps, educational quality, and climate adaptation strategies.
We invite professionals, academic researchers, students and all other relevant stakeholders to attend the roundtable discussion. Join us at this impactful event to be a part of Bangladesh’s youth empowerment.
