Short Bio

Recardo Saurav Antor Halder completed his MSC in Economics from Ruhr University Bochum Germany focusing on International Trade and Finance. Prior to that he completed his BSS (2015) and MSS (2016) in Economics from the University of Dhaka. He has more than 5 years’ experience in research and project management. He has served in multiple capacities in think tanks and international donor-based projects, such as USDA Bangladesh Trade Facilitation Project (BTF)- implemented by Land O’ Lakes Venture37, the South Asian Network on Economic Modeling (SANEM), and the Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute (BFTI).

He is currently working at SANEM as a Programme Consultant. His focus areas include trade facilitation, agricultural trade, WTO issues, export diversification, survey designing and implementation, data collection and management, econometric analysis, trade policy analysis, report writing, stakeholder engagement, procurement and grants management, event coordination, training facilitation, and logistics management.

Takrem Ferdous Surid is a Programme Analyst at the South Asian Network on Economic Modeling (SANEM). Before this role, he served as a Research Associate at UNDP Bangladesh, where he worked on policy research, stakeholder engagement, and capacity-building initiatives. Previously, he also worked at SANEM as a Research Associate and Research Assistant, contributing to studies on trade, investment, energy transition, and macroeconomic issues. He completed his Masters in Economics from Jahangirnagar University.

Faiaze Ibne Kabir has joined the South Asian Network on Economic Modeling (SANEM) as a Communication Associate. A communications professional with 4+ years’ experience spanning media, policy advocacy, and entrepreneurship development, Faiaze excels at crafting narrative strategies, managing cross platform content, and turning complex issues into clear, accessible messages. His by lines in leading national outlets cover international affairs, urban development, diplomacy, and sustainability. He is skilled in research driven writing, stakeholder communication, and social impact storytelling for both public and private sector audiences. Faiaze earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), developing a strong foundation in international politics, global diplomacy, and trade.

Fahmida Farzana

Short Bio

Fahmida Farzana is a communications professional with five years of experience in communication, content strategy, and stakeholder engagement in the development and humanitarian sectors. She currently works as a Communications Associate at SANEM.
Prior to this, she worked at ARK Foundation as the Research Uptake and Communication Officer, where she supported evidence-based public health communication in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Ministry of Local Government (MoLGED), and development partners including WHO, UKAid, and DNCC.

Her previous experience includes working with UNV Bangladesh, CMMS, Adventor Communications, and Bina Terer Pathshala, contributing to projects focused on education, youth engagement, and gender equity. As co-host of Common Grounds, a debate series under The Attention Network, Fahmida facilitated public conversations on rights, freedom of expression, and civic engagement.

Fahmida holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English and English Literature from the University of Dhaka, grounding her storytelling and analytical thinking in a strong academic foundation. Passionate about research uptake, feminist communication, and development discourse, she aspires to keep shaping conversations that contribute to a more just and inclusive society.

Md. Towfiq Rahman is currently pursuing his undergraduate studies in Business Administration at North South University. As a Communication Intern at the South Asian Network on Economic Modeling (SANEM), he contributes to visual content creation, digital outreach, and event coordination. He previously served as the President of the Rajuk College Photography Club (RCPC), where he led event coverage, mentored members, and directed the club’s creative initiatives. He is currently a Junior Executive Member of the Young Economists’ Forum (YEF) at NSU, supporting the club’s communication and digital media efforts. His multidisciplinary experiences in creative leadership, photography, and visual storytelling reflect a deep interest in effective communication and youth engagement in policy and development discourse.
