Women’s economic participation remains one of the most pressing challenges in Bangladesh. From unpaid care work to social norms and limited opportunities, barriers still stand in the way.

It’s time to challenge them.

SANEM, in collaboration with the World Bank and South Asian Economics Students’ Meet (SAESM), invites applications from university student teams across Bangladesh for the #ClearHerPath University Quiz Competition 2026. The competition is a national-level event focused on women’s economic participation in South Asia.

• Who can apply?

A team of 4 currently enrolled undergraduate or post-graduate students from any discipline at a recognized university. A mix of genders and disciplines is encouraged.

• How to apply?

Round 1: Read the Room
Interested teams will be required to fill out a Google Form [link is below]. The Form contains two images related to women’s economic participation. Teams will need to submit a written response (maximum 300 words, 150 words for each image) via the Form, explaining:
– What the images convey
– Their relevance to women’s workforce participation
– Key implications for policy or action

Round 2: 30-Second Video

Shortlisted teams from Round 1 will be invited to submit a 30-second video in which team members will collectively respond to a question provided by the organizers.

Teams are encouraged to:

1. Submit their videos as an unlisted YouTube link
2. Tag #ClearHerPath in their videos to generate organic promotional content for the campaign

• The Final Competition: The Quiz Showdown

The top 5 teams will advance to the final live quiz competition

🏆 Prizes & Awards:

• Champion: BDT 1,00,000
• 1st Runner-up: BDT 50,000

Both the Champion and 1st Runner-up will also receive trophies and certificates. The remaining three teams reaching the final stage of the competition will receive certificates and gift boxes.
