Join the 9th SANEM Annual Economists’ Conference (9SAEC) 2026 as a volunteer!

The South Asian Network on Economic Modeling (SANEM) invites applications from motivated and enthusiastic volunteers to support the 9th SANEM Annual Economists’ Conference (9SAEC) 2026, on “Development Challenges and Policy Responses in a Changing World”, scheduled from 17–19 April 2026 at BRAC Centre Inn, Mohakhali, Dhaka.

Since its inception, SAEC has grown into a premier regional forum for economic research and dialogue. The previous SAEC in February 2025 attracted over 400 participants, including economists, scholars, journalists, policymakers, and students.

Conference Highlights:

The three-day conference will feature a series of panel discussions addressing contemporary issues, along with presentations of 80+ papers covering topics such as macroeconomic stability, labour market dynamics, energy security, sustainable climate solutions, trade integration, poverty and inequality, gender inequality, agriculture and food security, and governance and public policy.

Who Should Attend:

We welcome applications from university students who are passionate about research, events, and economic development. Volunteers will gain hands-on experience in conference management, networking with regional experts, and contributing to the smooth execution of a high-profile event.

Volunteer responsibilities may include:
● Registration desk support
● Speaker coordination
● Session timekeeping and management
● VIP guest handling
● Technical support (PPT, microphones, Zoom)
● Logistics coordination
● Documentation / rapporteur duties
● Media and social media support
● Photography etc.

Please fill out the Volunteer Application Form with your details, including your availability, past experience, and the types of responsibilities you are comfortable handling.
Selected volunteers will be contacted by SANEM with further instructions.
