“Youth in Transition: Navigating Jobs, Education, and Changing Political Scenario Post July Movement”
July 1, 2025 | Brac Centre Inn, Dhaka

South Asian Network on Economic Modeling (SANEM), in collaboration with ActionAid Bangladesh has conducted a study titled “Youth in Transition: Navigating Jobs, Education, and Changing Political Scenario Post July Movement”. To share the findings of the study, SANEM and ActionAid Bangladesh are hosting this roundtable discussion on 1 July 2025 at 10:00 AM.
Young people in Bangladesh are facing many challenges and lagging behind in terms of job opportunities, political participation, and receiving quality education and training, among others. These challenges are making it harder for the youth to build a better future for themselves and for the country. The challenge continues after the July Revolution driven largely by frustrations over unemployment and economic insecurity.
For this purpose, SANEM and ActionAid Bangladesh have jointly conducted the first phase of the survey titled “Youth Survey 2025: Tracking Perceptions on Reforms, Skills, Jobs, and Education”. This national-level survey set out to hear directly from young people—to understand their lived realities, how they are coping with current challenges, and what changes they believe are necessary to improve their prospects. The survey also explored shifting youth perceptions around political, social, and institutional reforms in the post-July Movement landscape.
We invite professionals, academic researchers, students and all the relevant stakeholders to participate in this roundtable discussion. Join us in this impactful event to be a part of Bangladesh’s youth empowerment.
