Professor Jean-Louis Arcand is a faculty member at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva, Switzerland, specializing in development economics. With a focus on poverty alleviation, policy impact evaluation, and microeconomic theory, he has taught and conducted research at leading institutions worldwide. Professor Arcand earned his Ph.D. in Economics from MIT and has completed post-doctoral research at Stanford, the World Bank, and UC Berkeley. He has collaborated with organizations like the UNDP, World Bank, ILO, and OECD, contributing to global policy debates on aid effectiveness and poverty reduction. A respected scholar, he has published extensively, spoken at international conferences, and continues to mentor students and lead research on critical development issues.
