End Evaluation on ‘7th Five Year Plan (FY2016-20) Implementation’

Project description:

The purpose of this endline review of the 7th FYP is to evaluate the implementation of the 7th FYP to obtain a complete assessment on the macroeconomic condition of the overall economy. The evaluation will be based on the 14 sectors: Public institutions and governance, manufacturing, service, agriculture, power and energy, transport and communication, local and rural development, environment, urbanization, health, education, information communication technology, recreation, culture and religion and social protection. The primary indicators of economic performance – GDP growth, poverty reduction, investment, exports, and sectoral and macroeconomic stability will be assessed in securing principal targets of the 7th FYP. In addition, a sectoral analysis will be carried out where the progress with different indicators such as income and poverty, sector developments and GDP components, macroeconomic stability, urbanization and urban development, human resource development (including health, education and population), water sanitation and hygiene, energy and infrastructure, gender equality, income inequality and social protection, environmental sustainability and ICT development will be reviewed to provide recommendations and solutions in the areas where the 7th FYP is lagging behind in attaining the desired targets.
