Impact assessment studies cover a wide array of issues, from climate change to human capital development. Evaluating the effectiveness of public policies, monitoring the progress and forming new ones through an impartial lens are the main essence of Impact Assessment. The importance of Impact Assessment studies in developing countries, such as Bangladesh, cannot be overstated. The unique socio-economic context of the country requires tailored and careful assessments before, during and after the policymaking process to realize its ambitious development objectives. Hence, SANEM launched the Impact Assessment Centre in October 2018 to continue its effort in arranging relevant capacity building events, such as training programs and workshops, undertaking further studies and thus, contributing to the evidence-based policymaking process.
