Bangladesh Institutional Diagnostic
PROJECT SUMMARY
Bangladesh has been identified as the third country study for research towards developing an institutional diagnostic tool. The Bangladesh institutional diagnostic aims at comprehensively exploring the relationship between the characteristics and the functioning of a country’s institutions and its economic development performance and constraints. EDI has undertaken this endeavour in partnership with the South Asian Network for Economic Modelling (SANEM). SANEM executive director Selim Raihan is leading the study, in collaboration with the EDI’s Research co-director François Bourguignon. The programme was officially launched on 24th September 2018 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
