CALL FOR POSTER COMPETITION

There is no denying about the fact that the rapid pace of economic growth is required for substantial poverty reduction. However, to make this growth sustainable in the long run, it is equally important to ensure that every person in the society enjoys the benefits of economic growth. That implies, the growth should be inclusive growth. The idea of social inclusion emphasizes on the need for shared prosperity, and can thus be very instrumental in ending extreme poverty as well as reducing inequality within the society. Policies and programs for accelerated economic growth should therefore take into account the promotion of social inclusion in the economic growth process.

With this insight, SANEM SDG Centre is announcing its competitive call for posters for the special session titled “Governing New Challenges: Inclusive Development, Trade and Finance in South Asia in the Context of SDGs” to be held in the Fourth SANEM Annual Economists’ Conference on “Governing New Challenges: Inclusive Development, Trade and Finance”.
